Weekly Tribes – Energizers!

Have you use these lately…with content/subject/curriculum?

  • Three Ball Pass (first for total teamwork, then insert content questions)
  • I like my neighbor (insert content questions)
  • I sit in a chair…(Change to “I know… the definition… of the word…   Instead of a name, the person names a vocabulary word from your word wall…students raise hands if they can answer and student who said the vocabulary word chooses student to answer and take the empty seat)
  • Tribes Team Together…like the old “Newlywed Game”, the team answers for the missing person; incorporate content questions.
  • Two Truths and a Lie – great for review or a check for understanding.
  • “85” – (or maybe “15”) – students come up with content categories…like nouns, states, synonyms, multiples, cities, etc.
  • Pen Pals – use content questions
