Weekly Tribes – Two for…

This strategy is in the “Discovering Gifts…” and “Engaging All…” books; it’s called Two for Tuesday. You can make it “Two for…[whatever]”

Ask students to share two …appreciations, things they are thankful for, wishes, goals, people who are important to them, etc.

Want to make it more meaningful and permanent…put the two things in writing, make it a digital media, cut and paste, a Thankful card, poster, picture. This is readily adaptable for all ages. Bring it “up” by making it a poem, a current event write-up, a book review, historical or social perspective. Or just take care of it in a community circle before your students walk out the door for the break (or, if you are already on break, use it first thing Monday morning)
