Weekly Tribes – Placemat

Use the Placemat for an inclusion strategy and then with content.  Here are some ideas/suggestions

Inclusion:

name – hobby – wishes – concerns…middle is what we have in common

Content:

Vocabulary word in each corner, then each student has a ‘job’:  definition – illustration/symbol – synonym – antonym.  Have students physically turn the placemat so that each student does his/her ‘job’ for the vocabulary word in each corner.  The middle is one sentence with all vocabulary words – a group effort.
