Weekly Tribes 2013 – Energizer

This comes from Sharon Bowman’s book Presenting with Pizazz.

Micro and Macro Stretches

The group forms a standing circle.  Each person in the circle takes a turn at directing the group to a micro stretch (moving small body parts like fingers, toes, eyebrows, etc.) or a macro stretch (moving large body parts like arms, legs, torso, etc).  the group does each stretch being demonstrated (about 5 seconds per stretch)

Remember that energizers not only create energy, focus energy, invite energy…they are also opportunities for reflecting on a positive behavior that you want to see more of in your class.  For example, this energizer might generate behaviors of  ‘paying attention’ and ‘participation’.
