Weekly Tribes – 2014 We are how we treat each other

This comes from Tribes teacher Cathy in Arizona:

I started this lesson with my students at their desks and had them listen to the song a couple of times. I called them to community circle and said a line from the song, “We are how we treat each other when the day is done.” I then asked students to share what they thought this line meant. It was a great discussion about friendship vocabulary words and what it means to be a good person. After I modeled I popcorned the Koosh ball to three students and they said what they thought the line means. The fourth student said a line and the process repeated. We have done this now every morning for two weeks and have had incredible discussions about what it means to be humble and kind.
