Weekly Tribes 2014-2015 – How We Are Here

This comes from Nicole and Heather, students in the current online course and both are a great way to reinforce the agreements, collaborative skills, and ‘how we are here’ in this classroom or school.

Nicole has students create 4 mind maps with each of the 4 agreements in the center of each mind map. From there, they describe the aspects of each agreement and branch them out from the center of the corresponding mind map. Also, in the branches, describe examples of times when you have or should have applied the agreements in your life.

Heather uses the Book “What if Everybody Did That?” to introduce discussion with her 2nd graders.  For older students, why not have them create their own version or children’s book…even read to younger students when finished!
