Weekly Tribes 2015: Snowball!

Much of the USA is dealing with snow…so Snowball!

Here are some ideas for using a favorite strategy:

Snowball agreements – have student write an agreement in each box and then define, give an opinion, tell why it is important, or make a suggestion

Check for understanding – whatever topic you are currently teaching!

Write a story – have each person write a compelling first sentence, then each time it is snowballed, students use a transition word to begin the next sentence/event.

Math – solve multi-step equations.

Remember to review and incorporate agreements in the detailed instructions and expectations required for this strategy to be successful and not a disruptive disaster!
