Weekly Tribes 2016: Quotation Stations

I presented the Tribes TLC process to the Partners for Children Quality Standards conference this past Friday and while there I attended a presentation from the Center for Youth Program Quality.  This strategy is from their book ‘Building Community’.

Post several quotations related to a topic around the room.

Have volunteers read the quotations aloud or ask participants to go around and read for themselves, then stand by the one they like most.

Once everyone has chose a quotation, discuss and reflect.

An adaptation could be to use lyrics from songs, lines from a story or book, character quotations, or even math story problems that best explain application of a concept.
